Inspired by: Gelatos Class

Did you know that Scrapbook.com has started offering classes?  I just spend a couple hours going through the 10 lessons in the class called Watercoloring Outside the Lines | Top 10 Gelatos Techniques.  Each video was just a few minutes in length and the techniques were really easy to replicate.

Unfotunately, I haven’t bought any gelatos yet.  However I was able to make the lesson on adding 3D Color work with the supplies I had on hand.

Instead of Gelatos, I mixed some of the Lindy Stamp Gang Magicals powder into some Golden Fiber Paste to color it blue.  (click pictures for links to purchase).

I then spread the paste over a harlequin stencil in my art journal.

This is why I love my art journal.  I can try new techniques before I use them on tags or cards that I’m giving or sending.  I’m looking forward to getting a set of Gelatos as there are some great watercolor effects I’d like to try. I’m also excited to try some of the other classes that Scrapbook.com has.  I’m impressed that they’re free!  I think my next one will Card Making 101.  Which one do you think you’ll take?
