Fonts are so fun and a great way to enhance our scrapbooking layouts. I’m often asked about fonts and where to find them. Here’s some of my go-to places.
- What the Font! Have you ever wondered what a specific font is? This is a great tool that helps to identify fonts from an image that you upload.
- Best Fonts! There are tons a great places to find fonts. Once you know the name of what you’re looking for, just search for that and see what comes up. Here are the websites that I trust and use:
- DaFont
- The Hungry jpg – lots of freebies here and often with both personal and commercial use licenses.
- Font Bundles – another site with lots of freebies!
- Kimberly Geswein makes fonts and has great resourses on her website. You can also download all her free fonts in a single download from here.
- I also have made my handwriting into a font using Your Fonts.
- I recently learned about iFontMaker for making your own fonts. It’s only available for Apple or Windows systems.
As I learn about more, I’ll continue to add to this post. Comment with your favorites!
(Affiliate links are used, where possible. That means I’ll get a little $$ for referring you. The price to you is the same – THANK YOU!)
I can get lost in fonts. A graphic designer acquaintance of mine made me swear that I would keep it down to 2 fonts per document, 3 under extraordinary circumstances! LOL – It’s always extraordinary!
I agree to limiting fonts within a document and a scrapbook layout! 🙂 However I’ve seen some great “Subway Art” that uses a different font for every word/phrase. They’re so fun!!
I have friends that geek out on them. I am more of a sort of Arial person. Enjoy some Lobster font or Tacoma on occasion. (Taco-ma.) 🙂
You’re hilarious! 🙂
It’s so cool to have some of the options!
Thanks for these links and some interesting tidbits about fonts. I’ll check ’em out!
