AutoBooks are here

Forever released AutoBooks on Friday.  This is an easy and quick way to do a Photo Book.  You upload your photos, preferably to an album and then use the AutoBook feature.  The system will automatically place your photos into the book.  You can preview it and change layouts, as you like.  Add text to the bottom of pages or insert a full page of text where you like.  Truthfully, it’s meant to be super simple.  No embellishments, simple captions and it’s done.  I love this option for vacations, weekends away or events!  Take a look at this walkthrough video and let me know what you think.

If you are new to Forever and create your free account here, you’ll receive a $15 coupon after you confirm your email.  This could be enough to make your first photo book free! (Depending on the size and cover you select).

If you are already a Forever customer, you can earn $15 coupons by referring your friends.

Sparkle and Shine

Have you been inspired by these Make it Monday posts?  I know I have… I’m loving everyone’s projects and ideas!  Did you see this week’s Free Layout Template from Jen?  I got mine!  Read on to see who’s next in the circle….

I loved the Sparkle & Shine December card kit from Simon Says stamps last fall!   I’ve been stamping and embossing that Sparkle and Shine all over the place!

I loved it so much that I decided to make some fun layered tags for the folks coming to Scrap Camp last month.

I use pre-cut tags and dabbed some distress ink mixed with water onto them.  I then stamped from an old circle background stamp and added the Sparkle and Shine with a pop up dot.   I also added some sparkle gems to the bottom and silver bag ties as the string.

I challenged those at Scrap Camp to use the tag in a layout and here’s what one person did – I love it!

One of the things I love about being a hybrid crafter is that I can scan my creations for repeat use in my digi projects.  Click on any of the images below to go to a download link for all three embellishments. Feel free to play with these on your projects and please share them in the comments as I love to get new ideas from you!

Now Spring forward with this fun handmade embellishment with Lisa’s Monday Mojo!

Scrap Camp and Oscars Challenges

As I was getting ready for Scrap Camp I remembered that Sunday was the Academy Awards (aka the Oscars).  I’m a big fan of the movies and have always loved watching the Oscars telecast.

At each Scrap Camp, I create challenges for everyone to try.  Sometimes it’s from a sketch, other times it is a list of products to use, and often it’s a prompt.  This time, I created many challenges around the theme of the Oscars.  They went over really well and we had several participants complete every single one of them!  You can see what they were here:  ScrapCampChallenges

And I did manage to get a couple of pages done for the challenges.  The snapshot one is inspired by Her and the beach one was inspired by Captain Philips.

Did you watch the Oscars last night?  What did you think?  Let’s share our thoughts in the comments.
