Forever adds Collaboration

Last week, Forever launched a great new feature for Storage Account Owners.  Collaborate Sharing.  Here’s the announcement:

I’ve played around with this feature and am really loving it.  I’m looking forward to using it next time I travel with friends or family.  Here are the basics on how to get started:

  1. Login to your forever account
  2. Create an Album (or open an existing album)
  3. Click Share at the top of the screen.
  4. Select if you wish to Collaborate.  Make note of the information at the bottom.
  5. Copy Link and share.

Keeping Busy

Hello!  I know it’s been a while and I’m so very sorry.  All of a sudden, life got super busy!

a) It’s Layout a Day month and I’m happy to say that I’ve been keeping up.  Thankfully I’m working on our vacation pictures from our Walt Disney World trip two weeks ago.   Here’s a couple of my current favorites:

b) We’re buying a second home in Twain Harte, CA!  I didn’t realize all the work involved in doing this.  Even with a super Realtor, there’s tons of emails, decisions and effort.  We’re scheduled to close March 2nd and we’ll be spending most of our next many weekends there getting it all set up.  We now have to completely furnish and supply another home.  Thankfully, we have ALOT of extra stuff in our current home so many that will be helpful.

c) We’ve decided to help manage the family ski condo at Northstar at Tahoe.  This also came with more effort than I expected, together with trying to get family decisions made.

d) It’s the last month to qualify to earn the Forever Incentive Trip to Cabo.  I’m trying with all my might to see how close I can get to earning it.  Interested in helping me?  Contact me for my Crazy February Special that is in addition to what Forever is offering this month (can you say cash back when you purchase?).

Thank you for your continued support in reading my blog.  What’s new with you ?

National Scrapbook Day 2017

Traditionally, the first Saturday of May has been known as National Scrapbook Day (NSD).  In recent years, it’s been joined by interNational Scrapbook Day (iNSD) in March and Digital Scrapbooking Day in November.  I know, confusing, right!?!  Either way, this means that there’s TONS of deals out there for scrapbookers!

What’s Creative Memories doing this weekend?  They’re hosting a Virtual Crop this weekend.  You can also check out the CM Product Catalog. While you’re at it, join my Scrapping Challenge group and post your layouts created for a chance to win prizes!

And of course, Forever is jumping into the NSD fun as well.  They’re offering three amazing digital art sales that last from now through Monday. Here’s a look (Note: Digital Art is only for use with Artisan Software).

  1. Save 30% on all the digital art in our collection with code NSD2017
  2. Enjoy three Deal of the Day kits every single day – and save 50% on each with code DEALOFTHEDAY
  3. Save 50% on the never-before-seen, totally-exclusive Gift Canvas Bundle with code GIFTCANVAS
    1. PS – there’s going to be a Wall Art sale happening next week!!!

How are you participating in National Scrapbooking Day this weekend?

Forever Friday: Making Greeting Cards in Projects

This week, I’m showing you how to make greeting cards with Forever Projects.  From birthday cards, monogrammed cards and thank you cards, there’s really no limit to what you can create!

Also, I have a little secret… Forever is discounting all printed cards 30% in February but you can enjoy the discount now with the promo code BEMINE.  I’d love to see a screen shot of the cards you make!

Forever Friday: Recipe Mug for Gifting

I’m loving putting recipes on mugs, including the dry ingredients and gifting.  I did this with a mug microwave brownie recipe and have just finished this HotButtered Rum one.  I’m looking forward giving this as a gift!  Scroll down to learn how to make this in less than 5 minutes using Forever Projects.  And if you’d like to re-use my image, message me so I can send a full resolution, non-watermarked one to you.

I’m heading to the sun and beach in Mexico – have a great holiday and CHEERS!

Forever Friday: Using the Forever Mobile App

If you’re a frequent reader here, you know that I do quite a bit of traveling.   Like most, I take tons of pictures with my phone.  One of the biggest questions I am asked is how to get my phone pictures off the device and safe?  One of my favorite tools is the Forever Mobile App.

Once the app is installed, I suggest you set the sync options as well as the cellular options.  From the opening page, tap the three lines in the upper left corner.

My settings have the Auto Sync On and the Cellular Data Off.

While you’re here, let’s play with a couple of the other features of the app.  We spend so much time with our phones so this app allows us to work with our photos by putting them into albums, tagging pictures and including the story behind the pictures.

To add a picture to an album, simply long press on a photo to select it.  Then tap the three dots in the upper right and select Add to Album and pick the appropriate album.

When you tap on a picture it opens full screen.  Clicking the i in the right corner will give you the photo information..  This is where you can add your description (tell the story) and tags.

And of course you can share right from the app!

Forever Friday: Would You Rather Rent or Own?

Did you know that if you’re using Dropbox, Google, Box or other similar services that you’re essentially renting your storage space?

I’ve been taking the time to review the Privacy Policies of many of the popular online storage companies and many say that they can close and/or or terminate accounts at any time AND they can remove files if they wish.  Some of them will shrink photo resolution so they can manage their space.   And one even said that upon receipt of a Death Certificate, they will delete all the account holders’ memories.  That was frightening to read!

I’ve decided to own my storage space using Forever.  Forever offers guaranteed and permanent storage for our memories.  How do they do this?  Well, first of all, there’s a Guaranteed Fund that is similar to an endowment fund.  A portion of what I pay for my account goes into a restricted fund to maintain and preserve my high-resolution memories for my lifetime.  It also promises to migrate data to new formats if/when that happens.

The storage I have purchased is mine to keep.  I can give access to my friends and family, as well as share links to my albums as I wish.  I feel like I have tons of control.  And at the time of my death, my heir(s) will have access to my account.

Check out this video of Forever’s Founder explaining why he started the company.

I really love how seamless my memory keeping is by using Forever.  And I feel so much safer that my memories will be around beyond my lifetime.  What do you think?  Would you rather rent or own?
