I saw this idea on Facebook and knew right away that I wanted to do this. We have packages delivered year round but like many, lots more this time of year. This was super easy to implement and so far, our delivery people have been enjoying it!
Do you give service providers holiday gifts? I remember my mom giving little gifts of ‘nips’ from the beverage store (you know, a candy cane shape with mini spirits). She would leave them for the postal worker, trash pickup and lawn service people. How do you thank your team? Share your ideas in the comments!
I wanted to share a video I created to help showcase using overlays in digital layout with Artisan.
I’d love to see how you are using overlays, link up your layouts so we can be inspired.
Have you seen this great Mega Kit with Overlays, Masks and More? I love the collaboration with Little Feet Digital Designs and Dagi’s Temp-tations.

I’m so excited about May’s Layout a Day (LOAD) theme – Legends of Hollywood! I love the movies and am looking forward to see how they inspire our layouts in May.
The silver screen has enchanted audiences since its beginning. Walk down memory lane, or Hollywood Boulevard, as we celebrate some of the greatest films ever created, and use their stories to inspire our own.
Are you ready for this star-studded adventure?
If you register by THIS Saturday, April 22 you can use the coupon code “ACTION15” to save $15.

Last week I showed you how to organize your photos in your Forever account. This week, I’d like to show you how to start a photo book by adding photos.
If you like printable instructions, you can find them at my website here. Next we’ll learn how to edit and decorate our photo book. Have a great weekend!
This is the first in a series of posts that I’ll do to help you complete a photo book using Forever Storage and Forever Albums. The first step is to put all the photos into an album. From there, you may want to re-organize them into the order you may want to see or use them in your photo book. This [less than 2 minute] video will show you how to re-organize pictures in your Forever album.
The next step will be starting the album by adding pictures to your Forever Project. Stay tuned!

Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season! Memories were made and now is the time to consider how you’ll document them.
We were able to take a last moment trip to Mexico and had a really wonderful time! We did manage to take a bunch of pictures but less so than in past trips. Since I’ve been slacking on finishing my 2015 family album and haven’t started 2016, I decided to start this year by working on our vacation album. I’ve already pulled the pictures off the camera and into Historian. They’re all tagged and star-rated. Here’s my checklist:
- Remove all images from all cameras (we used a point & shoot as well as a DSLR.) into a folder on my personal computer.
- Delete the really (really) bad pictures.
- Load all pictures into Historian.
- Select all and Name them. I used “Grand Luxxe Nueveo Vallarta” for ease in searching later.
- Tag them. I put them all into the Nuevo Vallarta box (we’ve been at least 4 times in the past 15 years and they’re all in one place). I also tagged the images for myself and my husband to make it easier for future searching.
- Go through each image and star-rate. I use 4 stars as the indicator that it must be used in my photo book and to be uploaded to my online Forever account. Three stars are the next best, in case I’d like to put more into the photo book.
- Upload the 4 starred images to Forever (this is super easy as you do it right from Historian).
- Share the Forever album with family and friends.
- Delete the folder from my personal computer.
We took just over 400 pictures during the seven day trip. My Historian account shows 365 after I deleted the really (really) bad ones. I had 45 that were four starred and shared with family and friends. This entire process took me maybe 1 to 2 hours total. Now I’m ready to work on the album!

I love creating this time of year. It’s really fun for me to make photo gifts, handmade cards and more! Last year, I purchased some great leaf stamps from my Close to My Heart rep and decided to make some thankful cards.
I’m so thankful for all of you – who read and follow me. I really appreciate your support!
Here are some holiday shopping specials I hope you’ll enjoy, click the images to go to my shopping pages.
It’s a Layout a Day month! I love these months because not only do I get caught up on my scrapping but I also try using more sketches and templates. Here’s two layouts I created in the first week of LOAD. My focus this month is to work on 400+ pictures from a recent trip to Disneyland.
First, I used the October 1st Stuck?! Sketches Challenge. I’ve been dying to use the embellishments from Kate Hadfield’s All Mad Here digi kit. I have some Alice pictures where you’ll see this kit again. (The paper is from a kit called 2 Cute 2 Scare)
Next is a Scrapping with Liz’s October challenge Template. I used Amanda Yi’s Candid digi kit for this one. I love that Liz makes Artisan friendly templates.

Have you seen the new freeibies that Forever has offered?
The Sweet Summer Memories Template is really versatile! I used it to capture some beach memories of a friend of mine, but I could see so many different ways and memories to preserve with this one. Maybe I’ll do a one template: many ways blog post down the road? To get this template, just complete the 2 question survey here. If, for some reason, you don’t the template, just let me know and I’ll take care of it.
And if you like to do calendars, there’s an 8 1/2 by 11 School Year calendar that’s really cute! For this one, just shop at the Forever Digital Art Store – here’s a direct link. While you’re shopping, enjoy 20% off any digital art using the code School20. Please make sure to enter your ambassador’s name at checkout.
As a matter of fact, the School20 promo code is valid for all the following products and software during the month of August:
