Welcome back to our Make It Monday series! You probably arrived here from Jen who shared her Count Your Blessing Project. Read through to see the others in this blog hop.
I’ve fallen in love with my Gelli Plate and making fun papers to use with my paper projects. However I love some of the prints more than others and feel like I could never get it that good again! I realized I could scan my prints and then use them in my digi-scrapping too.
I have a fairly new Brother MFC all-in-one machine that actually scans better than does photo quality printing. I’ve scanned my prints and then imported them into my Artisan software. Once in the software, I’ve tagged them to make it easier to find and use.
I then can use them in my projects as I wish. So far, I’ve done a layout and a two sided tag. I love how the paper looks embellished and the colors in the tags are so fun!
I’m now even more excited to combine my love for Gelli prints and digi-scrapbooking! Thanks again for all your support during these Make It Monday blog hops! Now it’s time to check out Gina Zee who is using wrapping paper for a tag!

that’s a cool idea! So would you recommend that All-in-one? I’m in the market for a new one. I will need a good scanner, that’s most important.
Jen, I like it, but I don’t do a lot of photo printing with it. My biggest issue when shopping for a new printer was the cost of the ink. And these inks are quite reasonable, in my opinion. My favorite things are that it’s wifi and the scanning. Here’s the amazon link the specific printer I have: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006NRQVA2/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B006NRQVA2&linkCode=as2&tag=photo0d8-20&linkId=TVGNEPO5XA2WXQO6 THANKS!

Oh look at all that beautiful stuff you made. I haven’t played with a gelli plate before but maybe one day I will. I think your idea was brilliant to scan those papers in and use them digitally.
Thanks Beth! I was surprised that I hadn’t seen that suggested from other Gelli Print-ers. 🙂 Maybe it had and I just missed it.
Karen, scanning your prints was really thinking ahead! You will really get a lot of use from those beautiful papers. I love the artsy effect you can give a layout, or any project! The things you’ve shared are wonderful!
Thank you so much Kristie!
These look just gorgeous Karen! Well done!
Thanks Melissa!
Fantabulous idea to scan and reuse your beautiful creations! Excellent idea! Thanks for playing along on the Make It Monday hop! Love seeing what you’re creating! xoxo
