Layout a Day for a week next week

Hello!  MiniLOAD starts next week and the theme is Scrap the Rainbow!   You can see a sneak preview in my Scrapbooking Challenge Group.

The purpoase of Mini Layout a Day is to create at least one layout per day for just one week.  It could inspire you to keep going!  The theme and prompts are to help give you ideas or a jumping off point for your layout.  However it’s mostly about getting those layouts done, even if it’s off prompt.  You can pocket-scrapbook, digi-scrapbook or use paper – it’s totally up to you!

This year’s miniLOAD starts on July 13th (in just 5 days)!!

iNSD Celebrations

Happy interNational Scrapbooking Day!  How are you celebrating?  I was supposed to be hosting a weekend event in the mountains in Northern California but that was canceled so I’m crafting at home.  Here’s a few things that I’m doing today.  Comment with what you’re doing!

Close to My Heart all day crop.  I purchased the Card Kit #1 and will be following along making that.

Creative Memories Virtual Crop. I’m considering using one of these sketches for my Layout of the Day today.

Monogram Cards for Mother’s Day

AutoBooks are here

Forever released AutoBooks on Friday.  This is an easy and quick way to do a Photo Book.  You upload your photos, preferably to an album and then use the AutoBook feature.  The system will automatically place your photos into the book.  You can preview it and change layouts, as you like.  Add text to the bottom of pages or insert a full page of text where you like.  Truthfully, it’s meant to be super simple.  No embellishments, simple captions and it’s done.  I love this option for vacations, weekends away or events!  Take a look at this walkthrough video and let me know what you think.

Staying Crafty While At Home This Month

Every March there’s a free scrapbooking challenge called Calvinball based off the same named cartoon/book.  Although points are accrued, it’s still fun to join at any time of the month!  Click here for more info.

I’ve only recently discovered Brit+Co and their classes are free through the end of the month.  Here’s their info about that.  The catch is that you have to enjoy/view them by the end of the month as well.
